Thangalthodi Bridge
Thangalthodi Bridge is an important transportation facility connecting the Koottil and Kadannamanna regions in Mankada Panchayat. The bridge is highly beneficial for the daily travel needs of local residents, students’ educational requirements, and the transportation of agricultural products. Earlier, these areas faced severe travel difficulties during the rainy season, but the bridge has now made connectivity much easier and has become a major support for the development of the region.
With the construction of Thangalthodi Bridge, vehicle transportation has become smoother and travel time has been significantly reduced. It has improved the efficiency of emergency medical services, public transportation, and commercial activities. The bridge is considered an important public works project that plays a vital role in strengthening rural infrastructure development.
The bridge was realized as part of the Panchayat’s development vision. By ensuring a safe and stable transportation facility, which had been a long-standing demand of the people, Thangalthodi Bridge has paved the way for social and economic progress. It has strengthened the connection between different regions and contributed greatly to improving the quality of life of the local people.
Thangalthodi Bridge also helps the people of Kadannamanna to travel to and from the Koottil area in a shorter time. The bridge was constructed during the 2024–25 financial year and was inaugurated in 2025 by Honorable MP E.T. Mohammed Basheer.
