The major responsibilities of the Welfare Standing Committee of Mankada Grama Panchayat are focused on ensuring the welfare of backward sections and the general public. The main responsibilities are given below:

Formulating and implementing welfare schemes for women, children, senior citizens, and differently-abled persons.
Preparing projects for the social and economic development of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.
Coordinating the implementation of poverty alleviation programs.
Supervising the distribution of social security pension schemes.
Evaluating the functioning of Anganwadis and child development programs.
Implementing programs for women empowerment and self-employment development.
Organizing social awareness campaigns and related activities.
Taking necessary steps to provide emergency assistance to deserving beneficiaries and people affected by distress.
Reviewing the progress of welfare activities in the Panchayat and submitting reports to the Panchayat Committee.
