Stearing Committee

The Panchayat Steering Committee is the most important committee formed to coordinate the activities of various standing committees in the Grama Panchayats of Kerala, formulate general policies for the Panchayat, and expedite administrative matters.

Members of the Committee:

  • Panchayat President (Chairman)
  • Panchayat Vice President
  • Chairmen of other Standing Committees in the Panchayat

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the activities among other standing committees in the Panchayat.
  • Finalize the agendas to be presented in the meetings of the Panchayat Governing Body.
  • Review the general development activities, projects, and finances of the Panchayat.
  • Recommend solutions when differences of opinion arise among other committees.
