The major responsibilities of the Finance Standing Committee of Mankada Grama Panchayat are related to the systematic management of the Panchayat’s financial affairs. The main responsibilities are given below:

Providing leadership in the preparation of the Panchayat’s annual budget.
Examining and controlling the income and expenditure accounts of the Panchayat.
Supervising the procedures for collecting revenues such as taxes, fees, and license fees.
Suggesting methods for mobilizing funds for development projects.
Ensuring that the Panchayat’s financial transactions are lawful and transparent.
Reviewing annual financial statements and accounts and submitting them to the Panchayat Committee.
Examining audit reports and taking necessary actions to rectify irregularities.
Supervising the proper utilization of government funds and grants.
Maintaining records of the Panchayat’s assets and liabilities and evaluating its financial position.
Providing recommendations for expenditure control and financial efficiency.
