The major responsibilities of the Health and Education Standing Committee of Mankada Grama Panchayat are related to ensuring healthcare services and educational development. The main responsibilities are given below:

Coordinating and supervising public health activities in the Panchayat.
Evaluating the functioning of Primary Health Centres, Sub Centres, and Family Health Centres.
Promoting disease prevention activities, vaccination programs, and sanitation initiatives.
Organizing camps for communicable disease control and health awareness.
Coordinating development activities related to government schools and pre-primary educational institutions in the Panchayat.
Preparing projects for improving infrastructure facilities in schools.
Monitoring matters related to students’ attendance, academic standards, and healthcare.
Promoting literacy programs, continuing education initiatives, and library activities.
Implementing activities for the physical and mental health development of children and youth.
Preparing annual plans related to the health and education sectors and submitting them to the Panchayat.
